MEET OLUBODE
Author & Founder of BLOOM | Education
Olubode Shawn Brown is the author of BLOOM, The Essential Journey ~ A New Guide to Balance Growth & Well being and FINDING YOUR B.I.G. ~ Finding New Purpose In A Changing World.
He is the founder of BLOOM Education, where he helps visionary and creative leaders who are working collectively to negotiate the challenge of working with others, while maintaining a sense of play, sufficiency, balance and well-being.
As a child growing up in Jamaica, art was Olubode's first love and passion, but being an artist was not a clear option. In order to be accepted he eventually chose to be a lawyer.
As a young man coming of age in New York City during the 1980s, "I became stuck in a profession I did not love and a religion that offered no refuge at the time, so I embarked on a long journey to reclaim my true voice."
Along the way Olubode has studied with many teachers including Malidoma Some who introduced him to African indigenous spirituality in a way that allowed him to understand how to use five elements of creation as a powerful framework for individual and collective flourishing.
For over 30 years he has immersed himself in transformational programs, metaphysics, far east world views, and the Christian faith of his childhood to discover what he calls the "Language of BLOOMING."
Olubode's mission is to create learning experiences that inform, inspire and celebrate all our human journeys.
