Our ideas, about  COMMUNITY, impacts our spiritual,  psychological and physical health, our economics, our politics and our ability to shape the very culture within which we live.

•  What are the forces and beings at work within it that call for balance at the peril of upending everything else.

Malidoma Some an elder of the Dagara people had a lot to say about community in his book, The Healing Wisdom of Africa. Most importantly he noted that COMMUNITY is given by the energy of EARTH, and EARTH is central to the elemental cosmology of his people. The EARTH shrine is central to the life of his village and the keeper of that shrine is the chief of all the other elemental gatekeepers.

With this great guidance on the centrality of EARTH we can unpack so many insights to assist us as we journey. These insights and more is what this conversation is all about.

Consider that COMMUNITY  is a POWER that cannot be built or created, it is a POWER that is realized. And it has always been here waiting for you. You are born into it. It is often not seen– like a fish that does not realize the water that it swims in.  COMMUNITY is where all the existential questions are answered. It is a POWER and when it is realized, we can rest.
